Excellent point about blame. Who was to blame in 2015 when a developer copy/pasted code from Stack Overflow? Using code written by someone else isn't a liability shift. Unless you work some amazing magic with Anthropic's legal team and get a contract where they agree to accept liability for any mistakes made by Claude, the responsibility is always on the developer/prompter/team/company that produced the code.
Blaming AI for bad code is as pointless as blaming Adobe for bad art because they sell Photoshop. They're all just tools that work best in the hands of savvy, experienced creators.
